Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine oral health needs and treatment plans.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, restorations, and extractions.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques to diagnose dental issues accurately.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants, employing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care.
- Provide pediatric dental care with a focus on creating a positive experience for young patients.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
- Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and incorporate new techniques as appropriate.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation practices.
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental software is preferred.
- Strong patient care skills with an emphasis on empathy and communication.
- Familiarity with Epic or other electronic health record systems is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
