What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Laborer - STL position at Closed Loop Recycling, LLC?
Closed Loop Recycling (CLR) is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated Warehouse Associate to join our production team! We provide a full service to manufacturers in which we provide them with reusable oil-absorbent material that soaks up leaks and spills in their facilities. The role that takes place in our plant is a hands-on labor-intensive job where you will learn how to operate multiple machines, move heavy collection drums, and work on your feet. You’ll be working with a small team but have room for advancement in your career here. This is a dirty job (dealing with oil), so be prepared. Your role will consist of the following responsibilities:
Plant Responsibilities
Train and work at different workstations as production needs require throughout the day/week
- Operate machines to launder absorbent materials, wash/sort drums, and extract oily fluid
- Folding, sorting, and cutting absorbent mats and other products
- Assist in loading and unloading service trucks
- Making sure the quality of the product is 100% client-ready which includes quality inspection
- Repackage clean material, stock inventory shelves, and enter inventory in our CRM system
- Keeping the facility up to OSHA safety standards and audit-ready
Other responsibilities as assigned
Opportunities
Cross-train as a customer service representative, CSR (route driver) as needed
Skills and Preferred Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent- Production/Warehouse experience
- Ability to use a pallet jack
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 250 lbs when driving and loading/unloading drums)
- Mechanic/carpentry/welding experience
Ability to learn and operate warehouse equipment
