Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Global Business Supply Chain – Executive Director to lead our end-to-end global supply chain and operational strategy. In this executive-level role, you will be responsible for enhancing supply chain efficiency, optimizing product availability, and driving cost productivity. You will play a critical role in ensuring that Closer’s supply chain operations are agile, responsive, and aligned with our growth objectives, both domestically and internationally.

Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain & Operations, you will oversee key areas such as demand & supply planning, inventory management, sourcing, and process improvement. You’ll leverage your expertise in global supply chain management, operational leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to lead your team and influence critical business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the global supply chain strategy, ensuring effective demand & supply planning, inventory management, and sourcing practices are in place to meet Closer’s ambitious growth objectives.
• Cultivate a team of high-performing leaders and develop a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
• Drive supply chain efficiency and product availability by proactively identifying risks, conducting root cause analyses, and leading solutions that minimize stock-outs and optimize inventory levels.
• Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from demand forecasting and supply chain strategy development to ensuring seamless product delivery to customers globally.
• Lead the management of global logistics, third-party partnerships, warehouse cycle counts, and physical inventory processes, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts and business goals.
• Work closely with senior leadership to create and implement strategic frameworks that elevate Closer’s supply chain capabilities, ensuring scalability and operational efficiency in line with business growth.
• Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), budget management, financial forecasting, and operational reporting standards to track and improve performance across the supply chain.
• Collaborate across departments, including product development, marketing, and sales, to ensure that the supply chain supports cross-functional business objectives and delivers a best-in-class customer experience.
• Lead process improvement initiatives across the organization, fostering alignment on operational processes and promoting the adoption of new technologies and systems that drive efficiency and scalability.
• Own and evolve standard operating procedures (SOPs) globally, driving consistency and best practices across Closer’s operations and product creation processes.

Qualifications

• An entrepreneurial spirit with a track record of success in leading global supply chain and operations functions.
• 10 years of experience in supply chain management, including demand planning, sourcing, logistics, inventory management, and process optimization.
• Previous leadership experience in an omni-channel beauty, cosmetics, or skincare brand, with deep knowledge of the product development lifecycle and supply chain best practices in the beauty industry.
• Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams, driving alignment between departments, and influencing business outcomes at the senior leadership level.
• Expertise in ERP systems, forecasting tools, and supply chain technologies (INFOR M3, DMP, or similar systems a plus).
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives, ensuring deadlines and business objectives are met.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with budget management, financial reporting, and performance analysis to ensure operational goals align with overall company strategy.
• Fluency in English required; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French) are a plus.
