Sales / Designer

Closets by Design – SE Michigan is looking for motivated, sales-focused professionals with a creative eye, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for home organization solutions for our open Designer / Sales position.

This is a fun and flexible position that blends interior design and storage solutions while traveling to our clients homes for pre-booked appointments. You will work with the client to design their space and sell them an organization system that they will love!

This is a Hybrid position, blending working at home and traveling to appointments throughout the service area, as well as training, continued education and monthly sales meetings at our Oxford, Michigan facility.

Who is Closets by Design? In business for over 40 years (11 years at our Oxford location), we manufacture all our Michigan Made products on-site at our state-of-the-art facility in Oxford. We offer superior custom storage solutions that improve our customers’ lives. Our products range from custom closets, pantries, garages, home offices, entertainment centers, and more! We have locations throughout the US and Canada and continue to grow rapidly.

This is a unique opportunity that combines Design and Sales. We are looking for motivated and creative individuals who love design and organization just as much as they love interacting with and helping our customers. Appointments are scheduled with the homeowner through our office (NO COLD-CALLING) for our Designers who will travel to their homes, work with them and engage them in the process of creating their vision! You will measure their space, create the design, price it, present it to the homeowner, and sell it!

The ideal candidate will have:

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· A fun and outgoing personality.

· A Passion for design and home organization.

· Ability to thrive in a full commission/bonus sales environment.

· Ability to travel throughout the SE Michigan for appointments.

· Minimum of 1-year sales and/or customer service experience in a professional setting preferred, but not required.

· Reliable, personal transportation, valid driver's license, and valid insurance.

· Minimum schedule availability of 30 hours per week (some weekends)

· Average salary ranges from $50,000 - $65,000 in the first year with unlimited opportunities for those that perform our proven success model.
