What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Line Operator position at Closures White Cap Corp?
Operate units consisting of presses, rolling, assembling and finishing; video and auxiliary equipment.
Assemble, inspect, pack products and materials, mark and feed promotional closures as required.
MATERIALS USED, PROCESSED, AND HANDLED
Metal stock, raw semi-finished and finished materials and products, metal stampings and products, lining
material in rolls, cartons, bags, containers and boxes, cleaning materials
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Presses, rolling, assembling, finishing machines and auxiliary equipment. Counting and weighing
equipment, pick, hook, pliers, shears, tables, tape machines, gauges, containers for scrap, boxes, product
and metal lubricants, conveyors and operate simple production machines
DIRECTIONS EXERCISED
Normally not accountable for other employees
DUTIES AND WORKING PROCEDURES
> Operate units consisting of presses, rolling, assembling, finishing, video inspection and auxiliary equipment
> Test and confirm video inspection equipment is operating properly
> Move racks of line rolls in position on line
> Apply metal lubricants
> Inspect, weigh and pack products and materials
> Remove scrap and inferior quality materials
> Check and verify packing slips
> Open, fold, fill and close cartons, bags and other containers
> Inspect metal for shearing and coating voids
> Notify proper persons of irregularities in the job
> Unload floor container as required
> Approve and disapprove finished product in accordance with quality specifications
> Check, verify and feed promo caps according to packing slip instructions
> Perform unskilled tasks
> Follow all Plant food safety procedures
