Retail, Resale Sales Associate

Clothes Mentor, a leading retailer of pre-owned women's fashion and accessories, is looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, building relationships with customers, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

RESPONSIBILITY:

To help promote all aspects of the business: buying, selling, pricing, and merchandising. Promote a high level of customer service ensuring customers are assisted in an enthusiastic, timely, and knowledgeable manner. Assist store management in daily store operations and opening/closing procedures.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Develop proficiency in operating computerized sales tracking system for all sales transactions, buys, returns, etc
• Achieve personal and store sales goals by applying sound customer service and sales protocol. Monitor and assist in the completion of daily store opening and closing procedures. To include computer register closing, bank deposits and

financial reconciliation, information reporting, and daily store maintenance/housekeeping duties

• Price and ticket items appropriately based on pricing/buying guidelines.
• Restock store following merchandising plan. Maintain store displays and follow store housekeeping and maintenance standards and procedures
• Greet and engage customers as they enter the store, identify their needs and provide recommendations
• Maintain knowledge of current trends and fashion styles to provide personalized advice and guidance to customers
• Process sales transactions and operate the point-of-sale system with accuracy
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including merchandising, restocking and keeping the store tidy
• Contribute to achieving store sales targets through excellent customer service and building positive relationships with customers
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs to improve sales skills and product knowledge
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including cash handling, inventory management and loss prevention practices

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of retail/resale or consignment sales experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with fashion trends and a passion for women's fashion and accessories
• Comfortable working with a point-of-sale system and handling cash and credit card transactions
• Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends a MUST
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Able to bend, lift, reach and move up to 20lbs
• Stand for up to 6 hours
