Job Description :
The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing test cases and test plans, maintaining and adding to existing automation framework, evaluating test cases for inclusion in regression, automating newly integrated features, evaluating product quality, analyzing and communicating test results, defect tracking, and validating performance capabilities of Javascript-based video playback engines. The SDET will also work closely with developers and other QA engineers to create and enforce good quality assurance practices.
Responsibilities :
- A passion for building test suites to find vulnerabilities in software applications.
- A passion to learn and implement new technologies.
- Work closely with the development team to understand the product and develop testing procedures for new products.
- Simulate video playback in web, mobile devices, and set-top boxes.
- Communicate test results transparently to various teams.
- Strong leadership skills to assess maturity and recommend improvements.
- Detect, debug, and provide solutions to defects.
- Attend daily scrums to provide updates and get unblocked.
- Work with production support team to resolve problem tickets.
- Lead, train, and mentor other team members on testing best practices.
- Assist teams with feature operational readiness and effective monitoring.
- Quick to react and resolve issues in a co-located work environment.
