The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, creating and maintaining systems and databases, mining data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganizing data in an easily understood format and using statistical tools to interpret data, paying particular attention to trends, thresholds, patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.

Duties
- Utilizing the VitalChek system and DAVE (Database Application for Vital Events)
- Preforming data migration efforts from an Oracle RDBMS and Mainframe environment to DAVE
- Mapping data from existing systems/files to DAVE and identify any necessary transformations
- Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion
- Managing users and user roles and providing quality assurance of imported data
- Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets
- Processing confidential data and information according to NYSDOH/BVR guidelines
- Helping develop reports and analysis
- Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata
- Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements
- Supporting initiatives for data integrity, normalization and modernization
- Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems
- Generating reports from single or multiple systems
- Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports
- Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems
- Training end-users on new reports and dashboards
- 6 years of experience in data analysis and data architecture.
- 2 years of VitalChek experience
- Proficiency with data mining business intelligence and statistical analysis using statistical software, such as SAS, SPSS, Tableau.
- A solid foundation of SQL experience
- Minimum of three (3) years in developing data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Minimum of three (3) years identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns within and among different data sets

Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
