SALES TEAM MEMBER JOB DESCRIPTION

Sales Team Members work together with their TEAM to aid with all aspects of retail sales operations, under the direct oversite of their Team Leader and Store Managers. This TEAM supports sales from start to finish based on various work instructions, processes, and techniques performed as a part of daily routine sales operations. This is a fast-paced environment where hard workers will thrive and enjoy task completion.

As a Sales Team Member, you will:

  • Work as a part of a TEAM
  • Have open availability to work across our retail schedule, including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Be present and on-time for ALL scheduled shifts
  • Maintain CRA (Cannabis Regulatory Agency) compliance by following local, state, and federal rules and regulations as they relate to cannabis sales in the state of Michigan
  • Present yourself professionally in appearance and action
  • Move quickly throughout the facility
  • Exhibit high attention to detail
  • Be energetic, motivated, passionate, friendly, and kind around customers and TEAM members
  • Greet customers warmly and create a fun, friendly, and positive environment for the best possible cannabis shopping experience
  • Build a rapport with your customer base to improve their individual experience and promote retention
  • Effectively communicate with the TEAM and customers to supply vision and clarity that will keep operations running smoothly
  • Continue to build your cannabis knowledge base, including products, cannabinoids, terpenes, the entourage effect, and street and market trends
  • Cater each customer experience based on their wants and needs
  • Educate customers about cannabis and products when appropriate
  • Promote products and brands effectively to increase sales margins
  • Understand sales goals and balance them with our available products and customer needs/wants
  • Upsell high-margin items to increase basket size
  • Weigh, package, and label products from our Bud Bar to order
  • Learn and be familiar with our POS (Point of Sale) system so that you can fluidly move through each transaction and focus on the customer experience
  • Handle cash efficiently, quickly, and accurately
  • Promote our Cloud Club Loyalty Program to increase customer retention and mitigate attrition
  • Maintain store cleanliness and presentation from the lobby to inventory storage, sales floor to bathrooms, and everything in between
  • Cross-train and flex into Inventory and Concierge roles as necessary
  • Answer phones as necessary
  • Be able to sit and stand for periods of at least 4 hours
  • Be able to read fine print
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by leadership

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by a TEAM Member to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.

The TEAM Member must have the ability to lift 50-65 pounds and maneuver in tight spaces.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This position is part-time and full-time hourly. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Sunday, 9:00 a.m. through 9:00 p.m (Hours are subject to change), depending on the schedule. Overtime is sometimes needed during the week or weekends.

AGE REQUIREMENT

Must be 21 years of age (State Requirement)

COMPENSATION

$13.00-$15.00/hr based on experience Tips (will balance out to $20-$35/hr)

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Basic math skills.

· High school Diploma
