Low Voltage Technician – Chandler Arizona

Job Summary : As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems. This includes but is not limited to cabling, security systems, audio / visual systems, and telecommunications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities and Duties :

Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including structured cabling, CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and audio / visual systems.
Perform troubleshooting and repairs on various low voltage systems to ensure optimal performance.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine installation procedures.
Test and inspect installed systems to ensure they meet manufacturer and company standards.
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with team members and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications and Skills :

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, electrical technology, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in low voltage systems installation and maintenance.

Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in low voltage work.

Strong understanding of low voltage systems and components.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in various environments (indoor and outdoor).
