Job Summary
The Inventory Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels to support the operational needs of the company. This position involves overseeing inventory control processes, optimizing stock levels, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations.
Duties
- Coordinate inventory management activities, including monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and reconciling discrepancies
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize stockouts and overstock situations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan inventory replenishment
- Utilize inventory management software to track product movement, update records, and generate reports
- Conduct regular analysis of inventory data to identify trends, optimize stocking strategies, and improve inventory accuracy
- Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any supply chain issues
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes to maintain accurate inventory records
- Utilize financial analysis tools to assess inventory performance and make data-driven recommendations
Skills
- Proficiency in inventory management systems such as AS400 or similar software
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct data mining and interpret complex information
- Knowledge of logistics principles and distribution center operations
- Experience in category management and understanding of Nielsen data is a plus
- Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various teams and vendors

Pay: $15.65 - $17.00 per hour
