Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating various types of machinery to produce parts according to specifications.
Responsibilities
- Set up machinery for operation
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper functioning
- Perform quality control checks on finished products
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand product specifications
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to verify product dimensions
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet production goals
- Supervises activities of all personnel and the operation or the machine assigned to him/her.
- Maintains quality requirements in accordance with company standards.
- Must have specific job knowledge of machine to which he/she is responsible:
- Machine capabilities and limitations
- Set-up procedures
- Quality adjustments
- Machine maintenance and housekeeping
- Must be thoroughly familiar with quality operations and standards:
- Die Cutting: cut to print register elimination of score cracking, cutting and stripping
- Joining: Square folding, automatic bottoms, gap control, adhesion
- Printing: Coverage, registration, crush, sharpness, viscosity
- Sheet scoring: Dimensions, score quality
- Responsible for set up duties as assigned.
- Responsible for certain aspects of quality assurance.
- May be required to load material into machine.
The Skills You Will Bring:
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be able to read a standard tape measure, and read and understand job specification cards.
- Must follow all safety rules and procedures; watch out for crew member’s safety at all times; always follow lockout and tagout procedures; always use personal protective equipment (steel toed shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs and safety vest, Kevlar gloves, etc).
- Work requires the ability to understand and follow directions. Demonstrated ability to add and subtract all units of measure, read and copy figures and count and record figures.
- A comprehension level is required to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form and to deal with problems.

Pay: $25.56 - $27.00 per hour
