Job Title: Network Engineer
Number of Roles Open: 2
Location: Santa Clara, CA (onsite) PLUS an On Call component. All candidates must be willing to be on call 1 week every 4-6 weeks. Must respond to pages within 10 min and be able to be onsite within an hour of the page. Comp time off during on call period. (reg the comp off - When they are on call they will be compensated for it with comp time")

Key Responsibilities:
Network Design & Management:
Design, implement, and troubleshoot BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) and EVPN (Ethernet Virtual Private Network) solutions for enterprise and data center environments.
Manage and optimize network infrastructure running on platforms such as Juniper Mist or Mellanox or CumulusOS or Arista, or Cisco AnyConnect.
Configure, deploy, and support Palo Alto Networks Firewalls and Prisma Access to ensure the security of our network perimeter.
Automation & Scripting:
Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate network provisioning, monitoring, and configuration management.
Use SALT stack for configuration management, orchestration, and automation tasks across a multi-platform network infrastructure.
Work on network automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery times.
Security & Remote Access:
Configure and maintain ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access) solutions to support secure access to corporate resources for remote users.
Implement and troubleshoot Cisco AnyConnect VPN solutions and support secure access configurations across multiple environments.
Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning:
Perform in-depth troubleshooting of complex network issues related to routing (BGP), EVPN, firewalls, and automation tools.
Optimize network performance through proper configuration of routing protocols, network topology, and security policies.
Regularly review and tune configurations for optimal performance, reliability, and security.
Reporting & Documentation:
Use ServiceNow to create and manage network incidents, service requests, and change management tasks.
Maintain accurate network documentation and procedures for network design, configurations, and operational support.
Generate and analyze performance reports to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.
Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with cross-functional teams (network, security, cloud) to integrate network solutions with other business-critical systems.
Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and staff on network technologies and best practices.
On-Call Rotation:
Participate in an on-call rotation once per month to handle critical network incidents and ensure business continuity.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering with hands-on experience in BGP and EVPN in production environments.
- Experience with network operating systems such as Juniper Mist, Mellanox, CumulusOS, and Arista.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls and Prisma Access for securing network infrastructure.
- Practical knowledge of ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access), Cisco AnyConnect VPN, and network security protocols.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for network automation and monitoring tasks.
- Familiarity with using SALT stack for configuration management and automation.
