Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Validation Engineer to lead the testing and validation of semiconductor components, data center hardware, and GPUs. This role requires deep expertise in designing, executing, and analyzing validation tests, as well as hands-on experience with Python scripting for test automation and software testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and functionality of cutting-edge hardware and software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Hardware Validation:
Develop and execute validation test plans for semiconductor components, data center hardware, and GPUs, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and compliance standards.
Perform power, thermal, and stress testing, as well as functional validation across different hardware configurations.
Debug and analyze hardware failures, working with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and drive resolutions.
Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, PCIe analyzers, etc.) to troubleshoot issues and validate signals.
Software & Automation Testing:
Write and execute Python scripts to automate test execution, data collection, and analysis.
Develop software validation tests to ensure driver, firmware, and system-level compatibility with hardware.
Analyze system logs and software performance, debugging issues related to firmware, OS, or drivers.
Collaborate with software engineers to validate interoperability between hardware components and software stacks.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and performance bottlenecks.
Generate reports and present validation results, ensuring clear communication of findings and recommendations.
Work with design and manufacturing teams to implement test improvements and optimize system validation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
7 years of experience in hardware validation, system-level testing, and software validation.
Expertise in designing and executing validation tests for chips, data center hardware, and GPUs.
Strong proficiency in Python scripting for test automation and data analysis.
Experience with software validation, including driver, firmware, and OS compatibility testing.
Hands-on experience with hardware validation tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, PCIe analyzers, etc.).
Deep understanding of system architectures, including CPU-GPU interactions, memory subsystems, and high-speed interconnects.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, both at the hardware and software level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in data center environments or high-performance computing applications.
Familiarity with machine learning workloads and their impact on hardware and software validation.
Knowledge of Linux environments, scripting, and system performance profiling tools.
Experience with DFx methodologies, failure analysis, and post-silicon bring-up.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated testing frameworks for hardware-software validation.
