Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be the face of our company during each delivery. A strong understanding of route driving and the ability to operate different types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans, is essential.
Duties
- Load and unload goods efficiently and safely from the vehicle.
- Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries.
- Operate box trucks or vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Assist with moving items as needed, ensuring proper handling and care of goods.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing delivery schedules and paperwork.
