We’re currently hiring a Software Development Engineer - eCommerce & Financial Systems (AWS/Oracle Integration) for a fully onsite role in Redmond, WA.

Job Title: Software Development Engineer - eCommerce & Financial Systems (AWS/Oracle Integration)

Location: Redmond, WA (100% onsite)

Duration: 12 Month Contract

Key job responsibilities

1. Design and Implement Communications Components, Applications and Services
2. Partner with the Satellite, Networks and Security engineering teams
3. Design components, services, and relevant data models
4. Collaborate with engineers across the organization to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate critical e-Commerce software platforms.
5. Work on initiatives building e-Commerce functions on AWS infrastructure and help implement best practices for software development.
6. Develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and dashboards for monitoring health of systems.
7. Help engineers and build solutions which are required for provisioning and operating an Internet service provider.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. 8 years of non-internship professional software development experience
2. 7 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
3. Experience programming with at least one software programming language
4. Expectations mentioned verbally by client directly: Experience managing Java based SDKs, AWS based development, API design, JSON

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience integrating Financial Application and Accounting solutions (e.g. Oracle)
2. 8 years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
3. These qualifications are functional vs technical and a combination of skills.
4. Notes: – Java based SDKs, AWS based development, API design, JSON translates to having these skills:
5. Java programming Language – MVC Framework
6. AWS Cloud native skills and AWS tooling
7. API creation/JSON – Restful Webservices and possibly GraphQL (data query and manipulation language for APIs)
8. API Gateway knowledge – AWS API Gateway
9. FAA – Skills required should be:
10. Oracle EBS (E-Business Suite) financial modules which include:
11. Understanding General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management
12. Database management skills as we discussed yesterday:
13. Oracle SQL, PL/SQL – procedural querying knowledge for reports, triggers and stored procedures
14. Understanding ETL – data processing
15. ERP
16. Understanding Oracle Business Process – accounting, bookkeeping, financial statements, compliance.
17. Includes reporting – balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements
18. Rest and SOAP are required for web services
19. Data conversion and management (Financials data management)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

Our team owns developing the architecture, solutions & roadmap for managing the customer lifecycle for communications services; for example, identity and account management, subscriber management services, user provisioning, billing and payments, customer and technical support tools, offer management tools, and customer metrics and analytics.
