Position Summary

As our companies continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated In-House Attorney to join our team and provide expert legal counsel across various business operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor agreements, client contracts, NDAs, and pharmacy network contracts.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that business practices conform with applicable laws and regulations, patient and consumer privacy, including HIPAA, as well as healthcare and technology-related regulatory requirements, including federal and state AKS, Stark, and Pharmacy Benefit regulations.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential legal risks and provide proactive solutions to safeguard the company’s interests.
- Corporate Governance: Support corporate governance activities including corporate filings, and compliance with state and federal corporate regulations.
- Employment Law: Provide guidance on employment matters, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Litigation Management: Oversee and manage any litigation or dispute resolution matters in coordination with outside counsel, as needed.
- Policy Development: Assist in the development and review of company policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and best practices.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in at least one state bar association (good standing required).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house counsel experience.
- Strong understanding of healthcare, technology, and data privacy laws and regulations (experience with HIPAA compliance is a plus). Contracting experience related to pharmacy benefits, including drug manufacturer rebate arrangements and pharmacy network contracts also desired.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, business-oriented approach to legal issues.
- Familiarity with the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or telemedicine industries.
- Experience advising startups or high-growth companies.
- Proven ability to manage outside counsel and legal budgets.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in at least one state bar association (good standing required).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house counsel experience.

Work Location: This position is a hybrid office/WFH arrangement, with three days on-site a minimum, initial requirement. As a result, the ideal candidate resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area. There may be some travel expected from time to time to relevant conferences or to meet with clients.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
- $150,000 - $200,000 per year
