We are seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) Specialist to support and enhance safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory initiatives at our manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for ensuring adherence to OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements, while also developing and implementing programs to improve workplace safety and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all environmental reports to regulatory agencies and maintain up-to-date environmental permits.
- Develop, implement, and document HS&E training programs for site personnel.
- Collaborate with safety professionals, corporate teams, and external resources to enhance safety programs and ensure compliance.
- Serve as a liaison with Local, State, and Federal Regulatory Agencies on safety and environmental matters.
- Lead the development of the Annual Safety Plan, setting defined goals and timelines to improve employee safety, ensure compliance, and manage safety-related costs.
- Facilitate employee involvement by forming safety and environmental teams to address specific workplace concerns.
- Support and coordinate internal and external HS&E assessments.
- Track and report HS&E performance metrics to monitor compliance and identify improvement areas.
- Implement and maintain Corporate HS&E Standards across the site.
- Participate in monthly HS&E leadership meetings, ensuring follow-ups and consistent communication.
- Oversee and manage site emergency response programs and business continuity plans.
- Administer employee health programs and manage workers' compensation.
- Oversee site security programs, including security procedures, surveillance systems, employee badges, and related initiatives.
- Assist with training and qualifying HS&E resources within the facility.
- Develop, implement, and enforce site policies and procedures to maintain compliance and safety.
- Work closely with plant leadership to align HS&E initiatives with overall operational goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3 years of experience in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or Risk Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and regulatory reporting systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
