Cloud Village is a brand-new, state-of-the-art childcare facility in Provo, Utah opening its doors in the fall of 2020. Job Responsibilities
As a Teacher at Cloud Village, your role is to nurture and inspire the development of young children. You offer a safe and creative environment for students to explore and grow with hands-on experiences. You help to provide fun and creative activities and ensure every student in your care is provided individualized support and guidance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively participate in establishing long-term development and curriculum goals for the infants, toddlers, and preschool children of Cloud Village.
- Prepare a weekly lesson plan, including a list of materials needed for each lesson, and present this plan to the Director one week in advance.
- Meet weekly with the Director to review weekly lesson plans, coordinate and prepare classroom activities, and discuss policies and strategies to support individual children and center goals.
- Conduct developmentally appropriate, child-centered small and large group activities with children on a daily basis.
- Proactively identify and implement best practices for Early Childhood Education in STEAM within your lesson plans.
- Interact respectfully and professionally with parents daily to encourage open lines of communication and provide updated information on each student.
- Maintain a clean and engaging classroom, including bulletin boards, classroom storage, general organization, and cleanliness, etc.
- Provide constructive contributions and feedback to the Cloud Village team to continue to grow and progress the goals of the center.
- Actively participate in program-related meetings, including parent meetings, staff meetings, as well as meetings with the Director and program consultants.
- Contribute as a team member to build a positive work environment.

Job Qualifications
*
- Must have a genuine love for working with small children.
- Energetic and able to engage in hands-on activities with Cloud Village students.
- Have and/or are working toward CDA accreditation and/or B.A. degree in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
- Must be certified in child first aid and CPR. We will hire trainers to come in on a regular basis to maintain certification requirements.
- Must be fingerprinted and background checked by State Child Care Licensing agencies and local and federal agencies.
- Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be easy-going and have a strong sense of fun and flexibility.
- Must be able to meet Utah Child Care Licensing caregiver qualifications.

- Perform continuous bending, crawling, climbing, twisting, kneeling, and reaching.
- Frequent walking, standing, grasping, and fine hand manipulation.
