ROLE SUMMARY:
The Network Test Engineer…. This is an internally focused role that needs a process-driven and detail-oriented individual who is proficient with HSIA networking.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to:

Configure/Provision emerging/existing HSIA designs in a lab environment

Reproduce field scenarios in lab environment during troubleshooting/incidents
-
Provide testing support for product/CTO organizations (for products/platforms being developed)

Develop/maintain test plans for HSIA designs
-
Maintain lab infrastructure to support “productized” HSIA designs
-
Documentation of configuration templates for tested products
-
On-site support for Conference Services
Qualifications
-
Minimum 2-year of Network Engineering experience
-
Experience with Firewalls, Switches and Access Points (Preferably Fortigate, Aruba, Ruckus and Meraki)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience with computers and proficiency with software programs such as MS Office and Visio, and other industry recognized applications

Prior Hospitality industry experience in preferred

CCNA level experience, or equivalent certification. Ruckus, Aruba, Fortinet, and Linux certs are preferred

Expert network administration and support skills. Fluent understanding of large network implementations, network protocols, and network topologies
-
Experience in complex, structured cabling jobs that include interior/exterior installations
-
Knowledge of networking equipment from various manufacturers – Aruba, Cisco/Meraki, Ruckus, Fortinet, Cambium, Nomadix
-
Excellent networking skills and understanding of high-density Wi-Fi installations
-
Experience with standards based 802.1 p/q, 802.1w (RSTP) and 802.1s (MSTP), 802.3ad (LAG), and 802.11 networks required.

Excellent in troubleshooting complex problems in multi-vendor networks

Knowledge of IP Telephony and Network Monitoring tools is a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit for extended periods. Ability to lift 30lbs repetitively as needed.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is a combination of work in the field on a customer premises and in an office environment.
