Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Lennox International is seeking a talented and experienced Instructional Designer to join our Learning & Development team. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning experiences that enhance industry knowledge and drive usage growth through the Lennox Learning Center.

Strategic (30% of time)

Identify content gaps to improve industry knowledge and boost usage of the Lennox Learning Center
Develop and maintain content policies and standards for course and configuration management
Create and update process maps for existing and future training development projects
Explore future strategic development opportunities for instructor-led training (ILT), online learning, and virtual instructor-led training (vILT)
Analyze organizational needs to determine appropriate training solutions

Operational (70% of time)

Design comprehensive instructional strategies incorporating pre-class activities, presentations, learner participation, practice problems, automated continued learning opportunities, case studies, and evaluations

Prepare instructor materials (course outline, background material, and training aids)

Create student materials such as course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and course critique forms

Select appropriate instructional multimedia and craft effective copy, texts, audio, and video scripts

Design and develop learning deliverables aligned with leadership and branding standards, including interactive eLearning, video tutorials, instructor-led classroom curriculum, and printed self-paced training materials

Ensure all deliverables exceed internal customer expectations

Communicate expectations for content, accuracy, timeliness, and areas of improvement effectively

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $78,400- $102,900 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requires at least 5 years related experience.

Requires knowledge of adult learning principles and methodologies.

In depth knowledge of Instruction Design processes and techniques including training analysis, design, development and evaluation.

Highly skilled in the development of participant and instructor guides for instructor-led training.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Strong PC skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio.

HVAC industry background preferred.
