Job Description
BUSINESS JUSTIFICATION
Serve as a Traffic Technology Architect to perform major incident management support,
systems analysis, gap studies, implement traffic technology systems, analyze existing
hardware and software, develop policies and procedures, and evaluate potential traffic
system enhancements
TXDOT WORK TO BE ACCOMPLISHED
The worker will perform highly advanced traffic systems analysis and development in support of the TxDOT Traffic Technology program. Work involves leading activities associated with traffic control technology systems, planning, designing, and integrating integrated traffic control systems; designing, installing, and monitoring traffic technology systems; monitoring and analyzing existing hardware and software in the support of traffic systems; developing policies and procedures; preparing budget recommendations; and evaluating potential traffic system enhancements. Reports to the Infrastructure Traffic Supervisor. Leads projects and works closely with a diverse group of professional and technical employees.
