Powering this hub is a set of Rust-based services operating on every one of the data-centers that Cloudflare runs. These services route all of Cloudflare One traffic end to end. By leveraging Cloudflare's incredible infrastructure and programming languages such as Rust, this critical service is safe, performant and secure. You will build connectivity in a user-space service that can identify and route flows across our global network. This work requires close collaboration with other teams while leveraging powerful frameworks and libraries that power many Cloudflare products. Our technology stack includes Rust, Docker, Linux networking, Clickhouse, SaltStack and Prometheus. We're looking for determined, curious, empathetic engineers to join our team! Desirable skills, knowledge, and experience Programming experience in Rust Familiar with Layer 3 and Layer 4 Networking Systems-level programming experience in Linux Experience building large-scale, reliable, highly distributed systems Attention to detail and ability to solve complex customer problems Own solutions end-to-end and driving the design, development, and deployment process Able to work across teams and level common, sustainable solutions Creative, open-minded, collaborative problem solver Focus on clarity in written and verbal communication Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. There are multiple levels open on the team, both mid & senior level. Senior Level (4) For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $196,000 - $240,000 For New York City, Washington, and California (excluding Bay Area) based hires: Estimated annual salary of $187,000 - $229,000. For Colorado-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $168,000 - $206,000.
