Bookkeeper

Cloudpoint Geospatial is a leading geospatial services firm specializing in Geographic Information Systems for clients throughout the U.S.  We have seen exciting growth over the past three years and are currently in search of a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with a passion for working with numbers, and skills in Accounts Payable to join our team.  This position will begin with a part-time role alongside our Office Manager and will likely expand into full-time as the company grows. 

Illinois Pay Transparency - this role will pay $20-$25/hour based on experience. The annual salary listed is for a 24-hour workweek (1248 hours per year).

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Manage payment schedules to ensure timely payments while optimizing cash flow.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized records of incoming invoices and outgoing payments.
• Review and validate employee expense reports for compliance with company policies.
• Ensure proper documentation and approval for all expenses.
• Maintain accurate records of the company's physical assets.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
• Update budget reports to balance with accounting software. 
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and retention policies for documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounts payable role 
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred)
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities

Work Context:

• Frequent work operating a computer in an office (or home office) setting  
• Frequently sedentary with occasional lifting light weight items < 30lbs
• Frequently communicates with coworkers and must be able to clearly exchange accurate information in these situations
