Job Overview
As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing all nursing operations within the healthcare facility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Duties
- Manage and supervise nursing staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement nursing care policies and procedures
- Ensure accurate documentation review and maintenance of medical records
- Create and oversee individualized care plans for patients
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing teams
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Oversee Medicare compliance and reimbursement processes
- Manage nursing operations in various settings such as nursing homes, home care, or other healthcare facilities
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations and compliance
- Proficiency in medical records management and documentation review
- Experience in developing care plans and overseeing their implementation
- Leadership skills to effectively manage nursing teams
- Understanding of anatomy and medical terminology
- Previous experience in nurse management or similar roles
