What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Design Manager position at Clough Projects Pty Ltd?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Design Manager to join the Project Team in Perth! In this role, you will effectively lead, manage, coordinate, and develop internal and external engineering within a predominately infrastructure project. Be responsible for planning and leading design activities for the project with accountability for working with design consultants to establish, agree and document the design solution and provide leadership to the design team.
Webuild is the preferred bidder for the design and construction of the Women and Babies Hospital in Perth, Western Australia. This landmark project will replace the century-old King Edward Memorial Hospital and expand services and choice for women, newborns and families, delivering lasting benefits and a positive legacy for the people of Western Australia.

Your focus will include:
Foster and encourage the way of leadership with internal and external designers working as partners.
Visible leader and guidance of the new graduates in clough.
Governance of the required technically acceptable standard of work for engineering.
Ensure the engineering toolbox remains current and fit for purpose. (internal engineering)
Support engineering on projects, including assigning key personnel and undertaking peer reviews/audits.
Support the delivery of technically acceptable engineering services for approved work to ensure the development of high levels of client satisfaction and Clough’s business needs.
What you will bring to the team:
Minimum 10-20 years relevant experience with contracting or consultancy organisations in one or more of the following sectors – Infrastructure, Building or energy.
5 years’ experience in engineering or design management.
Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. BSc Eng or BArc).
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) – preferred.
Previous experience in healthcare construction is essential
