Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of dental office procedures, and the ability to manage both staff and patient relations effectively. This role is essential in ensuring that our clinic runs smoothly while providing exceptional care to our patients.
This role requires dental experience with HMO, PPO, and Dentical. It requires a go-getter attitude and to do everything to make the office successful from willingness to answer phones, manage the flow and team, and fill in the holes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the dental office, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Supervise and train staff, including dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative personnel.
- Oversee appointment scheduling, patient records management, and billing processes.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Coordinate with dental suppliers and vendors for inventory management.
- Implement practice management software solutions such as Epic or eClinicalWorks to enhance office efficiency.
- Handle human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
- Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional development.
Skills
- Proficient in practice management software (experience with Open Dental and Dentrix is a plus)
- Knowledge of human resources practices related to hiring and employee management.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance within the office.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; knowledge of critical care or acute care practices is advantageous.
