What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Dock position at Clover Farms?
Title: Case Dock
Hours: Five 8-hour shifts with the following starting times:
- Monday: 9 pm-5:00 AM
- Tuesday: 9 pm-5:00 AM
- Wednesday: 9 pm-6:00 AM
- Thursday: 9 pm-5:00 AM
- Friday: 9 pm-5:00 AM
Minimum Required Qualifications:
The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended hours.
- Must lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, including overhead.
- Must be able to work in a wet environment.
- Some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
- Must have well-developed organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle and follow through on multiple projects.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work with limited supervision.
- Ability to work all assigned work schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and comply with all time and attendance policies.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
Essential Job Functions:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Pushing and pulling milk crates, stacking and inspecting crates for damage.
- Maintain efficient and safe work using automated crate unstacking machinery.
- Maintain compliance with the SQF and all the associated programs and paperwork.
- It is crucial to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment to ensure that the crate lines are adequately supplied.
- Remove trash from the crates and empty trash receptacles as needed.
- Unload trailers of crates on the crate dock when necessary.
- Bump caps must be worn in this department at all times.
- Maintain a clean working environment by disposing of trash in provided receptacles.
- All associates in their related tasks are responsible for maintaining the commitment to Food Safety and Food Quality.
- Clean, set up, operate, and monitor equipment within a dairy production environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
- Communicate with other departments, management, and employees and notify them of any problems and concerns that may alter production efficiency.
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clean, legible, and accurate format and completed with the required information.
- Count and log empty cases that are returned from routes.
- Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Follow all required work safety practices, including wearing all required PPE in designated areas and handling chemicals safely.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Work overtime as assigned.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
