Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) Role

Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will assist Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in performing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and routine care. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Conducting resident/patient treatments
- Administering medication according to physician orders and the Plan of Care
- Submitting pharmacy orders
- Accurately documenting and recording all information
- Providing injections of medication as prescribed
- Observing resident health and communicating current conditions to Registered Nurses (RNs), supervisors, and physicians
- Taking vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight
- Providing basic care, including wound cleaning and bandaging
- Managing IVs and starting IV drips
- Monitoring fluid and food intake and output
- Observing and reporting resident accidents, incidents, and skin breakdowns
- Assisting in the admissions process as directed
