As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and services that meet their physical, emotional, and social needs.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Assisting Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in performing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and routine care.
- Conducting resident/patient treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Administering medication according to physician orders and Plan of Care.
- Submitting pharmacy orders in a timely manner.
- Accurately documenting and recording all information related to patient care.
- Giving injections of medication as prescribed.
- Observing resident health and communicating current condition to RNs, Supervisors, and Physicians.
- Taking vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Providing basic care, including wound cleaning and bandaging.
- Managing IVs, starting IV drips.
- Maintaining accurate records of fluid/food intake and output.
- Observing and reporting resident accidents, incidents, and skin breakdowns.
- Assisting as directed in the admissions process.
