What are the responsibilities and job description for the Value Stream Manager position at Cloverdale Foods?
The Value Stream Manager is responsible for leading plant performance improvement through Lean production system design, effective problem solving techniques, the design and management of performance improvement initiatives, and the training and coaching of plant team members to accomplish the same in coordination with the plant leadership team. In order to achieve this, the incumbent will effectively communicate with plant management, the corporate Continuous Improvement group and coach frontline employees, supervisors and value stream operating managers in how to better incorporate performance improvement activities into their daily job performance through a philosophy and commitment to continuous improvement. This position reports to the Plant Manager and VP of Operations and has direct responsibility for Operations Foreman that are assigned to their value streams and the off-shift assigned to ensure production of quality products in an environment conducive to food safety requirements for the start-to-finish value stream cycle. In addition, the Value Stream Manager is responsible for positively impacting employee relations by exemplifying and maintaining consistent, fair and inclusive employment practices, legal and corporate compliance and behaviors reflective of the company’s leadership profile.
