Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor plays a crucial leadership role in overseeing the entire operation of the refrigerated warehouse, ensuring the highest level of service to customers by delivering high-quality standards in an efficient, safe, and scalable manner. This position requires a strong background in warehousing or materials management, along with excellent leadership, organizational, and technological skills to manage, optimize, and innovate warehouse operations.
Office Environment: 9% of the work is conducted in an office setting, involving time spent on computer research, project management, and communication with team members and stakeholders. Frequent participation in both in-person and virtual meetings, including project updates, strategy sessions, and presentations to management and stakeholders.
Production Environment: 90% Regular visits to the production areas will involve exposure to machinery, noise, varying temperatures, humidity, and wet conditions.
Travel: <1% Occasional travel for training, meetings, conferences, etc.
Schedule: PM Shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed based on operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including picking, putaway, rotation, wrapping, space management, and shipping, assigning workloads and daily tasks.
- Schedule and oversee the warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
- Ensure coverage of tasks as necessary, stepping in to support or reassign duties to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Regularly report progress to the Warehouse Manager, highlighting achievements and addressing any issues promptly to ensure continuous operational improvement.
- Monitoring inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy.
- Ensure inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained; inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure products are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities.
- Implement health and safety procedures and training to ensure a safe workplace.
Qualifications:
- A high school degree or GED is required.
- Strong leadership, and management experience, including hiring, performance management, and team development.
- Commitment to safety standards and compliance.
- Forklift trained with demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail and adaptability to change.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- High level of integrity, dependability, and a results-oriented approach.
Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements:
- Regular visits to production areas will involve exposure to machinery, high noise levels, varying temperatures, humidity, and wet conditions.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach, stretch, stoop, and bend for extended periods; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands in a fast-paced environment with temperature ranges between -20 and 40 degrees F.
- Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder, shoulder-to-overhead and pushing/pulling/carrying.
- Use of motor skills to safely drive heavy machinery in tight quarters.
- Must be able to communicate through various channels, including phone, email, face-to-face, and videoconferencing.
- Must be comfortable sharing office space with other professionals and performing repetitive, computer-based tasks. This includes extended periods of sitting, reaching with hands and arms, and using input devices such as a keyboard, mouse, and other tools. The role requires maintaining focus on detailed screen work for prolonged durations, including tasks such as data analysis, report preparation, and troubleshooting operational issues.

At Cloverdale Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $28.00 - $32.50 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
