We are seeking a Temporary Activities Assistant to support our team in providing recreational and social programs for residents. This role has the potential for full-time employment based on performance and facility needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and leading activities that promote social, emotional, and physical well-being.
- Support residents in daily tasks such as letter writing, phone calls, and other personal activities.
- Escort residents to activity programs and help facilitate group participation.
- Maintain records of resident attendance and progress in activities.
- Assist with facility-wide initiatives, including mail distribution, fundraising, and event preparation.
- Provide craft materials and encourage residents to participate in creative projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Experience in long-term care or working with the elderly is a plus but not required.
