What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional-After School/Athletics position at Cloverleaf Local School District?
We are seeking an individual who meets the preferred qualifications and is able to commit to the entire season to assist a couple of students participating in track while using wheelchairs. The schedule is from 2:50 PM to 5:00 PM daily during the track season, plus additional meets on some weeknights and weekends (see the attached Practice/Meet Schedule for High School and Middle School).
Responsibilities:
- Assist athletes in completing daily workouts using their racing wheelchairs.
- Help athletes throw the shot put (12 lbs) from a seated shot put chair. The candidate should be able to teach basic techniques and reinforce coaching tips.
- Understand track meet formats and be able to help athletes navigate between events.
- Ensure familiarity with track rules to prevent athletes from violating regulations and being disqualified.
