Job Description: As a Driver/Transportation Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and providing transportation services for residents to medical appointments, social outings, and other activities. You will ensure that all transportation needs are met in a timely and safe manner, while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation Coordination: Schedule and coordinate transportation for residents to various destinations, including medical appointments, social outings, and other activities.
Driving Duties: Safely operate company vehicles to transport residents, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and regulations.
Resident Assistance: Assist residents in and out of vehicles, ensuring their comfort and safety during transportation.
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on company vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.
Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff to coordinate transportation needs.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all healthcare and transportation regulations and policies.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
STNA Certification: State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification is required.
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Skills: Excellent driving skills, strong organizational abilities, and effective communication skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to assist residents in and out of vehicles and perform routine vehicle maintenance.
