Position Summary

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Requires frequent and continuous sitting/moving about, continuous use of fine motor skills, and pushing and pulling of up to 20 lbs.
Schedule Details
Must be available to work 40 hrs. per week with normal work hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work closely with faculty, academic departments, and student services departments to identify students in need of holistic support.
- Provide students and prospective students with information and, when appropriate, help distribute resources including, but not limited to resources associated with food insecurity, housing insecurity, transportation, mental health, and other basic needs; work with internal and external stakeholders to identify financial assistance for support services when needed.
- Supervise the CCC Campus Cabinet food pantry, including its part-time employees.
- Serve on institutional committees that work to bridge obstacles that impact student success.
- Serve as a liaison between the institution and community programs and work to develop processes for student referrals and access to needed resources.
- Work with marketing to create promotional efforts for holistic student support.
- Establish and oversee a committee that will guide institutional transformation associated with social responsibility; assist in the promotion and implementation of related programs, projects, and initiatives; collaborate with college stakeholders to assess the need for, and recommend training initiatives on cultural competency, gender differences, disability, sexual harassment, and other topics designed to increase awareness and support of equity and inclusion values, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws
- Serve as the Title IX Coordinator; respond to Title IX complaints, including working with other institutional investigators, conducting research, and compiling reports for administrative review; maintaining accurate records, and maintain compliance with applicable laws in collaboration with other investigators and College stakeholders.
- Work with other departments regarding the College’s programs and compliance in Title IX, Title VII, Clery Act, VAWA, ADA, FERPA, HIPPA, and other state and federal laws pertaining to discrimination and/or equity in higher education.
- Develop and implement retention strategies aimed at improving student persistence and graduation rates, focusing on both academic and non-academic support systems.
- Monitor and, in collaboration with Institutional Research, analyze student date to identify at-risk students and develop targeted interventions to improve retention.
- Attend relevant external conferences and capture, share and manage the knowledge gained that will sustain holistic support efforts across the campus.

- Demonstrated ability to cultivate a common vision and collaborative culture to achieve institutional goals and values related to equity, diversity and inclusion.

- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, awareness of and commitment to contemporary issues of inclusion, social justice, diversity, access, and equity, including the current research and pedagogical approaches that inform and address these issues.
- Must possess the flexibility and capacity to oversee, prioritize and execute a variety of strategic partnerships and initiatives and multiple projects concurrently.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related area (i.e., higher education, sociology, human resources, management, public administration or other related field)
- Two (2) years’ experience in higher education, public education, or related field
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a related area (i.e., higher education, sociology, human resources, management, public administration or other related field).
- Current New Mexico social worker license or ability to obtain license through reciprocity.
