Responsibilities :
- The primary role of the Nurse Educator is to orient and educate nursing personnel to ensure safe and effective care according to federal, state, and facility guidelines.
- Report directly to the Director of Nursing.
- Develop and implement education programs tailored to staff needs and teach current accepted nursing practices.
- Supervise and mentor new nursing employees during their orientation period.
- Conduct annual competency testing and perform evaluations to identify educational needs of nursing staff.
- Oversee the Employee Health Program, including the administration and tracking of tuberculosis, hepatitis vaccines, and influenza immunizations for all employees.
