Responsibilities:
The Revenue Cycle Area Lead is a key player in maintaining the financial health of our organization. This role oversees and optimizes the revenue cycle process within a defined geography, ensuring accurate and timely billing and collection of accounts receivable. In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of revenue cycle professionals, drive process improvements, and collaborate with center and market leadership to achieve revenue goals.
Position Highlights
- Analyze and improve revenue cycle processes from patient pre-admission to discharge to optimize the entire revenue cycle.
- Develop a deep understanding of revenue cycle management financial performance metrics, including bad debt reserve, bad debt expense, cash collections %, AR >60, and DSO.
- Proactively identify and resolve challenges that hinder timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Develop and implement actionable plans to address revenue cycle issues and improve overall performance.
- Supervise and mentor a team of revenue cycle management professionals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Five years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with a focus on long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing and coding regulations, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, and private insurance practices.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
