To assist in providing psychological services to students and parents as related to students' educational programs.
Reports to Director, Special Education Local Plan Area and Psychological Services Department Chair.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Assist in conducting individual evaluation and identification of learning, behavior and / or adjustment problems of children in assigned programs.
2. Assists in providing guidance and assistance to children with learning, behavior and / or adjustment problems.
3. Assists in developing appropriate individual and / or group programs of instruction and treatment for children with special needs.
4. Assists in systematically reassessing children with special education needs as appropriate.
5. Assists in coordinating, communicating and seeking consultation with community agencies as appropriate.
6. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervising school psychologist and / or Director, Special Education Local Plan Area and Psychological Services.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Clear Pupil Personnel Services Credential
Eligible as an intern through a college or university program.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must possess or be eligible for appropriate California public school PPS - School Psychology Intern Credential.
