Required skills: DBT can be used with Postgres DB, SQL Server, Redshift, Databricks, Snowflake, or GCP.
Required Skills and Experience
* 12 years of experience in data engineering, with hands-on experience in data warehouse migration projects.
* Strong expertise with IBM iSeries DB2, IBM Sailfish, and Snowflake.
* Proven experience in data modeling with Snowflake, including star schema and snowflake schema design principles.
* Proficiency in using DBT for data transformation and Prefect for workflow orchestration.
* Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google BigQuery.
* Solid knowledge of data warehouse design, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
* Proficient in SQL and experienced with performance tuning for large-scale databases
* Experience in Google Analytics
* Experience in Change Data Capture
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex data requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
* Hands-on experience with cloud migration projects.
* Experience in data governance, data security, and data quality management.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and drive projects to completion
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
