Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and a proven ability to lead teams, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and laborers, providing clear instructions and guidance.
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work according to blueprints.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to project schedules.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for project tracking and documentation.
- Prepare and manage contracts, ensuring all contractual obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project managers on construction estimating and budgeting processes.
- Implement effective project scheduling using tools like Microsoft Projects to optimize workflow.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Site Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Must be familiar with Bluebeam.
- Familiarity with quality control standards in construction projects.
- Experience with project scheduling software (e.g., Procore) and not required but preferred software tools (e.g., Excel and Microsoft Projects).
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving project goals.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
