This role is essential, as you will be the first point of contact in providing excellent patient service by handling a high volume of incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and answering patient inquiries with professionalism and efficiency. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answer a high volume of inbound calls promptly and professionally.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments accurately.
- Provide information about office services, policies, and procedures.
- Assist patients with general inquiries and direct calls to the appropriate department as needed.
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information in the system.
- Handle appointment cancellations and follow-up scheduling requests.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical call center, front desk, or similar healthcare setting preferred.
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) and medical appointment scheduling is a plus.
- Proven experience in customer service or call center environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual candidates are highly valued.
- Ability to analyze situations and provide effective solutions.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures or terminology is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in data entry and computer skills essential for managing customer information.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
