OVERVIEW :
CLUB4 Fitness desires an HR Generalist with desire to develop into a true Business Partner to partner with CLUB4 Fitness management and internal client groups to help establish and implement HR strategies that foster established internal policies, practices, culture in order to maximize the totality of the CLUB4 Fitness team. This position will provide practical, consistent, and proactive support, expertise, direction, coaching, problem solving, training and advice on employee issues, workforce dynamics, as well as to be an internal HR liaison for things such as helping with benefits enrollments, addressing organizational change management at the CLUB facilities, acting as internal HR POC when rolling out new HR initiatives, and providing recruiting / interviewing / onboarding support and assistance throughout the CLUB4 Fitness footprint. The position is largely transactional in that CLUB4 Fitness runs a centralized HR department for all locations (currently 41 in seven (7) states) out of the Madison, MS Business Office location and that requires that most actions occur via email and HRIS systems.
This position requires the ability to initially act as liaison between employees, their managers, and Human Resources so as to help identify problems and drive appropriate solutions. The role requires the ability to establish HR priorities and operating mechanisms to drive change. This person will interface with professionals at all levels. This role will be a critical part of developing and maintaining CLUB4 Fitness’s culture, attracting and retaining top talent, enabling greater employee achievement personally and professionally each year, and ensuring a fun but safe environment free from workplace harassment or other policy violations. Must be self-driven and self-motivated to achieve results within established deadlines, have high emotional intelligence, and have a pleasant and positive personality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and or ability required.
- Apply HR knowledge and expertise to assess client needs in such areas as assisting in all aspects of HR training, new hire recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding, employee benefits enrollment activities and education in the field, assisting with performance management and survey activities, providing feedback and perspective on employee engagement in CLUBs, and supporting all other business office service departments as required.
- Provide employee relations counseling in conjunction with the HR Director and involved Operations and / or Fitness Management personnel;
- Influence and support cultural changes across the organization;
- Develop and lead talent recruitment initiatives;
- Act as primary on HR and other Brand Management training slides / quiz development for Learning Management Systems use;
- Support CLUB management personnel in all training activities associated with learning / absorbing policy information and HR-based training for appropriate use of HRIS platforms;
- Interpret corporate policies / programs / procedures in conjunction with HR Director and Managing Partner;
- Provide leadership for employment practices;
- Partner with managers to retain, develop and motivate people to achieve their fullest potential;
- Provide ongoing support to the leadership team on human resources related matters, policies and procedures;
- Brief new managers on the policies and procedures of an organization in conjunction with development and learning team, providing coaching to managers on difficult and complex issues as an extension of the HR Director and Managing Partner;
- Maintaining awareness and knowledge of contemporary HR employment laws so as to provide suitable interpretation to directors, managers and staff within the organization in conjunction with HR Director and Managing Partner directives;
- Partner with HR Director / external legal team to resolve issues and employee inquiries;
- Deliver results with strong emphasis on quality and timelines;
- Support internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests for action as may involve updates in the HRIS / payroll system;
- Assist HR Director and Payroll Specialist in maintaining electronic records of employees;
- Serve as a point of contact for Club4Fitness employees and managers in the field;
- Assists in all administrative HR and payroll-related activities as needed or assigned;
- Update records as required by law or by change activity within Club4Fitness;
- Assist Payroll Specialist during payroll processing by helping to correct any payroll errors or missing information impacting payroll;
- Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews;
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all HR and / or confidential information at all times;
- Remain current on all company policies / procedures with a focus on help CLUB4 employees adhere to all and to remain compliant with company expectations; and
- Undertake any additional duties or assignments within the overall scope of this position, including other duties as assigned by the HR Director or Managing Partner.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS :
The position reports directly to the Human Resources department head.
