Position Description: Functions as administrative support for the Equestrian Center. Coordinates and maintains all paperwork, reservations, office supplies and equipment to enable a productive and efficient equestrian facility. Some weekend work may be required.
Essential Job Functions:
· Manage telephone calls including incoming calls, checking voice mail and returning calls.
· Schedule appointments and maintain the ride reservation log.
· Greet customers and handle ride registration procedures.
· Order stable supplies.
· Maintain inventory.
· Compile statistical information.
· Manages the office supplies.
· Check e-mail and reply to questions and reservation requests.
· Generate reports requested by the Barn Manager as needed.
· Maintain neat and clean equipment, work areas and guest areas.
· Work cooperatively with other Equestrian staff and other departments.
· Promote and adhere to all company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
· Complete any other tasks as assigned by the Barn Manager or Equestrian Director.
· Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and co-workers. Inform management promptly of any maintenance, safety or equipment issues.
· Must maintain the policy of this company to conduct operations in a manner that will prevent injuries to people and damage to property and equipment and that will comply with all applicable regulations for safety and health.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: One to two years of clerical responsibilities in the administrative area. Proficiency in Microsoft applications required and previous experience with Point of Sale preferred. Knowledge of horses preferred.
Skills: Excellent customer service, communication, and mathematical skills.

Equipment to be used: Must be able to operate computer and other routine office equipment
Typical Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing, bending, reaching. Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time. May require some heavy lifting up to 30 lbs. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Requires the ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures/climate at times.
