Position Description:
Provide exceptional assistance to members and guests to ensure their golf experience at Seabrook Island Club consistently meets or exceeds expectations. Foster a positive, customer-focused attitude in a fast-paced environment where delivering superior service is essential.
Requirements
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist with all guest bag handling from point of arrival to departure of the clubhouse.
- Greet and direct guests to clubhouse amenities.
- Prepare golf carts and load bags for members and guests.
- Inspect and control the cleanliness and detail of every golf cart including but not limited to the wheels, wheel wells, undercarriage, body, floorboard, accessory holders and cubbies, club cargo area, back accessory basket, and roof.
- Inspect carts for damage and record any necessary maintenance.
- Clean, bag, and disperse range balls and keep range picked and clean.
- Continually monitor driving range and practice areas, ensuring that the practice greens are clean from practice balls, and the driving range is clean from tees and loose golf balls.
- Maintain a rental club inventory, issue clubs, check in clubs, and record any lost or broken clubs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workplace including all areas around the golf shop, bag drop, and cart barn areas.
- Must maintain the policy of this company to conduct operations in a manner that will prevent injuries to people and damage to property and equipment and that will comply with all applicable regulations for safety and health.
- Assists with other duties as needed and as directed by the Outside Services Manager and management of the Golf Shop.
- Communicate with the Golf Shop regarding any changes for the day and maintain a professional appearance in front of members and guests.
- Use radio to communicate with other team members to ensure that any member or guests needs are addressed.
Job Requirement:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: prior golf course experience preferred
Skills: Knowledge of golf, effective communication and customer service skills required.
Equipment to be used: Golf carts, range ball picker and washer, small tools, and other equipment
pertinent to golf operations.
Typical Physical Demands: Position requires the ability to walk, stand, bend, push, pull, kneel, reach, lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Ability to endure extreme outdoor temperatures. Normal range of sight and vision required. The ability to remain on your feet for extended periods of time. Ability to manage high stress levels during main service hours.
