Description
The IT Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the Seabrook Island Club’s business and operational technologies. The IT Manager reports to the Director of Finance and directly consults with the Club’s Department Heads across HR, accounting, food & beverage, golf, racquet sports, equestrian, facilities maintenance, marketing/ communications, and membership.
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee IT Operations: Manage and monitor the daily operations of the Club’s IT business and operational systems, hardware, data, and telecommunications, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning. The Club maintains both a public and private website, a member mobile app and an employee mobile app is planned.
- System Maintenance: Plan and direct the implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of Club business and operational systems and related end user hardware.
- Network Management: Oversee the Club’s networking, including business fiber internet connections, wireless networks, voice, and video systems.
- IT Support: Provide support to management, staff, and members, troubleshoot issues, and train users on new systems or software.
- Security: Ensure the end-to-end security of the organization’s systems, network, gate access points, video surveillance, and electronic documents.
- Budget Management: Manage the IT budget, spending, and return on investment metrics.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the productivity and performance levels of the IT systems and applications.
- Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
- Strategic Planning: Develop long-term plans for updating and improving the organization’s IT infrastructure.
Requirements
Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, is preferred. Relevant IT management experience is required.
Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience in IT management with relevant organizations to our Club and scope of business and operational systems.
Skills: Proficiency in business and operational systems implementation, networks, information security, Cloud management, and end-user hardware including point-of-sale configurations. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint. Ability to consult with the Club’s leadership and staff on IT solutions and realizing benefits from the technology investments. Strong problem solving and analytical skills to assess and address IT issues. Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with IT vendor partners, department heads, and Club leadership stakeholders.
Typical Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require some lifting of up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machinery. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Requires ability to function professionally in a challenging and stressful environment.
