GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, performs duties related to the assembly of standard production and custom components as required on standard and custom vehicles while maintaining safety, quality, and ISO standards of the completed product.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows process method sheets to ensure assembly is performed in accordance with specified quality techniques or follows sales order requests for directions on options to be installed on golf carts or utility vehicles.
- Performs basic fabrication, machining, and welding of components required for assembly of custom vehicles and accessory kits. Installs custom kits and/or components on vehicles as needed.
- Procures various supplies from local vendors and coordinates the necessary documentation to receive and process purchase requisitions and receiving reports. Routes components to various vendors for outside services when required.
- Prepares various parts, kits, standard assemblies, and standard vehicles for shipment to domestic and international locations.
- Prepare the necessary documentation required for shipment and invoices.
- Operates required machinery and equipment in a safe manner following established safety procedures; maintains a safe and clean working environment; reports any unsafe acts or conditions to immediate supervisor.
- Assists in training other assemblers as needed.
- Reports all non-conforming part conditions and equipment or tool malfunctions to the lead person/supervisor.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains a safe and productive work environment by ensuring the work area is clear of tools, brooms, debris, and other items that may present a hazard.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of previous assembly experience, preferably in low-speed vehicles.

- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Requires occasional lifting of objects of objects 25 to 50 pounds.
- Work requires periodic stooping/bending and frequent walking/standing.
- Work involves activities that require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, or vehicles.
