Job Summary：

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the Club Car product engineering team.  We are looking for a talented energetic engineer that has a passion for vehicles to help us develop environmentally friendly vehicles that move people and materials all over the world.

Responsibilities:  

• Lead the design process of vehicle related components and modules from concept to production.  
• Ensure technical rigor for all projects assigned (Specifications, DFMEA, DVP, APQP, and Technical Design Reviews).
• Perform project related assignments and work directly with all functions of the organization to ensure project success with respect to Quality, Delivery and Cost.  
• Transform market requirements into system, subsystem and component requirements. 
• Leads cross functional teams to create DFMEAs and DVPs (Design Validation Plans)
• Utilize PTC Creo to design & develop mechanical components, subsystems and systems 
• Create and release component and assembly drawings using GD&T when appropriate 
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM) and to incorporate designs into manufacturing processes.
• Work closely with suppliers to develop components and subsystems that meet specifications.

 
Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field of study with minimum 7 years of experience 
• Demonstrated expertise in product & assembly design for different manufacturing processes 
• Demonstrated use and experience with CAD software; PTC Creo preferred 
• Detailed understanding of mechanical engineering principles. 
• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills including 8D Problem Solving Process.
• Experience working in a vehicle related business preferred.

• Ability to quickly and efficiently understand and organize information necessary to make engineering decisions. 
• Experienced in applying and understanding the results of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills. 
• Process knowledge for plastics: injection molding, extrusion, compression molding, blow molding, thermoforming, and other common processes used for the manufacturing of products made from polymeric materials.
• Process knowledge for metals: extrusion, stamping, die cast, welding, and other common manufacturing processes.
• Ability to follow internal engineering design processes and best practices.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Project & Excel
