JOB TITLE: Team Leader (2nd Shift)

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Team Leader is an extension of management in their assigned zones by directly supporting associates.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the overall performance of his/her assigned work group/line, including safety, quality, efficiency, and daily shipping/production schedule attainment.
- Proactively supports plant-wide safety programs, including maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
- Assigns and manages work schedules and assignments with the Area Supervisor.
- Ensure all employees have the equipment and supplies needed to perform the jobs in their areas.
- Assume responsibility for and take the lead in maintaining housekeeping within the department.
- Designate and audits 5S responsibilities.
- Ensure that performance metrics are communicated, understood, and met.
- Drive continuous improvement through MDI.
- Identify opportunities for improvement; implement improvement plans.
- Coordinate and lead problem-solving activities for process improvements.
- Develop audits and ensure adherence to standard work.
- Serves as the primary communication vehicle between management and associates.
- Responsible for reviewing daily staffing needs and flexing labor resources to meet the daily shipping/production schedule.
- Provide continuous training to associates to ensure standards are complied with and understood.
- Serve as a backup for Material Handler Drivers to load and unload trucks, locate and pick materials in and out of warehouse racks, move items between locations, and deliver to support shops.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains a safe and productive work environment.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
- College Degree preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of one year of Club Car experience or two years of leadership experience.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Office programs.
- Minimum of 3 year of hands-on experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment, with a current and valid forklift operator certification.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Requires occasional lifting of objects of objects 25 to 50 pounds.
- Work requires periodic stooping/bending and frequent walking/standing.
