Purpose:The purpose of the Apprentice Pilates Instructor is to provide safe, effective group Pilates instruction in accordance with all Club Pilates guidelines and expectations, while fulfilling the hour requirements of the Club Pilates Teacher Training program.Qualifications: At least 250 hours of Club Pilates Teacher Training completed150 online content66 in studio applied learningBalance of 34 hours consisting of observation, self-practice, practice teaching, and assistant teaching hours.Passing score of 80 or above on Master Trainer EvaluationDemonstrate anatomical knowledge and focus on safetyProfessional and effective communication and public speaking skillsIn depth understanding of the benefits of Pilates and what sets Club Pilates apart from other Pilates studiosWillingness to evolve with new developments in the fitness industry, specifically PilatesComfortable adding TRX, Barre, and Trigger Point modalities to teaching repertoireTeam playerPunctual and ReliableAbility to implement and streamline new procedures in a diverse environmentAbility to recognize areas of improvement and pro-actively communicate with managementConsistently uses excellent judgmentAbility to work harmoniously with the public, management and instructorsProfessional and neatEssential Duties: Maintain availability for at least 10 hours per week to dedicate to teaching and mentorship.Provide Pilates instruction to include Club Pilates Reformer Flow and Cardio Sculpt classes Levels 1 and 1.5 ONLY as scheduled by management and pursuant of Club Pilates standardsObtain Master Trainer Approval for all class plans to be taughtMust demonstrate proper and safe use of a variety of equipment during each class, including, but not limited to, Mat, Chair, Reformer, Springboard, TRX, Magic Circle and other equipment as needed to ensure a safe yet creative group experienceVisually inspect the equipment prior to the beginning of class to ensure equipment is in good working order and safe to useResponsible for studio tidiness and returning equipment to standards set by studio managementMust arrive at a set time prior to the beginning of each scheduled class or private/semi-private sessionParticipate in networking/community/client appreciation events as needed and studio promotions to generate new businessMaintain honesty and integrityAny other duties as assignedPhysical Requirements & Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
